“Am I Too Old for Invisalign?” This is a common question our orthodontists get asked all the time at Docbraces. Patient Service Coordinator
Janet has been a hard-working member of our team since she joined us in 2009. With over a decade of experience in the customer service industry, Janet loves to get to know our patients of all ages in her role as Patient Service Coordinator. She’s originally from Newfoundland, and when she’s not working she makes the most of time with family and friends. You’ll be likely to find her dancing, taking in movies, relaxing with her cat, Max, and listing to music.
With over 25 years of experience in the dental field, Jeanette brings not just her extensive knowledge but her sense of humour to her role as Financial Coordinator. She can often be heard discussing the importance of laughter, and trying to get our patients and staff to smile. Jeanette’s pretty busy outside the office with her husband and three children: she spends time supporting them at hockey, baseball, and Tae Kwon Do. When she’s not watching sports, she’s probably busy writing music on her guitar, reading, and creating oil paintings or fabric art.
Tracy has been a great asset to the team since she joined us from Moncton. Bringing over two decades of experience as a Dental Assistant, she’s one of the knowledgeable and helpful team members that new patients meet when they first visit us. Patients can expect to work closely with Tracy to ensure that they’re fully aware of the treatment process and what to expect, so be sure to ask her any questions you might have! When she isn’t’ helping patients get used to their braces, she’s likely to be found with her two cats and husband.
Stephanie’s been working as an orthodontic hygienist and part of our Smile Team™ since 2010. Originally from Cape Breton, she has a B.Sc. in Microbiology from Dalhousie University and over a decade of experience in dentistry and orthodontics. Her extensive knowledge and experience are clear when she treats patients and she always provides the high standard of care that Docbraces is known for. When she’s not working, she loves to spend time with her family, shop and exercise.
Melanie is originally from Ontario, but decided to move to the East Coast for a new adventure and to find a great career. Before she joined the Smile Team™ she worked in general dentistry, where she reaffirmed her passion for orthodontics. As someone with orthodontic treatment experience, she is really understanding when it comes to how our patients are feeling, and she enjoys being able to help people realize their smile goals. When she’s not working, she loves to take advantage of all that Nova Scotia has to offer.
Lisa is originally from Port Hawkesbury, and moved to the city to complete the Dental Assisting Program at the Nova Scotia Community College, which she did in 2007. As an Orthodontic Assistant, Lisa’s one of the friendly faces you’ll see when you come in for your treatment, and she loves to see patients transform with their new smiles! When she isn’t working, she loves to play a range of sports, and spend time with her family and friends.
Although Joanna started at Dalhousie for an Arts and Social Sciences degree, she quickly realized her passion was for helping people get and maintain beautiful smiles. She decided to study Dental Hygiene at Trillium College in Toronto, and started her career in Ontario where she was able to focus on children’s dentistry. When the opportunity to move back to Nova Scotia came up, she quickly took advantage of it and has been a valuable member of our Smile Team™ ever since. When she isn’t working, she’s often found running. She is a passionate outdoors-woman and loves to hike and camp with her husband.
