Dr. Cecilia Ponce

Dr. Cecilia Ponce was born in Peru and was awarded her DDS degree in 2001 at San Martin de Porres University. She later completed a master's degree in dentistry and completed a diploma in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. In 2013, after spending several years in practice she also worked as a clinical instructor in pediatric dentistry. She then moved to the US to receive additional training in craniofacial biology and orofacial pain at the University of Kentucky. She moved to Canada where she earned a second master's degree in orthodontics from the University of Alberta and was invited to become a clinical instructor at the university of Alberta. She is also a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, an American Board Certified Orthodontist and an active member of several professional orthodontic and dental organizations. She enjoys practicing meditation to recharge her mind and body, and enjoys travelling with her husband, trying new restaurants and dancing.
