Joanna attended Dalhousie University where she began an Arts and Social Sciences degree and then transferred to Trillium College in Toronto, Ontario where she received her diploma in dental hygiene. She began her career working at a general dentistry office in Toronto. After a year she also took on a part-time position with another general dentistry office with her primary focus being on children’s dentistry. When the opportunity to move “home” to Nova Scotia came up it allowed Joanna the chance pursue other areas in the dental field, orthodontics being her main interest. In her free time Joanna enjoys spending time with her husband. She is an avid runner and loves being outside hiking and camping.
